Position Summary:
The Commercial Planning Sr. Analyst is responsible for the tracking, controlling, monitoring, analyzing, forecasting and communication of BPI's business results and the validation of business objectives, the tracking and coordination of intercompany transactions as they pertain to Collaboration and Referral Programs of the Global Private Banking Network, Global Desk, and CIB. This responsibility requires driving a broad range of corporate financial planning and analysis functions of key business segments, which include business centers, product lines, countries, commercial direction, segments, asset liability management and projects that will assist in the transformation of the area. The Commercial Planning Sr. Analyst assists the the Commercial Planning Director by providing financial information and analysis on accounting issues and business performance for management needs and support decision making.
The Sr. Analyst is responsible for coordinating the monthly close of the Bank's MIS system, along with monthly reconciliations of Business Volume and monitoring of the GL/PL, updating mapping to reconcile the Bank's Core Banking system to MIS as needed.
The Sr. Analyst controls the accounting function of the monthly accruals and payments related to Collaboration Results with the Groups Local Banks for BPI. Acts as liaison with the teams within Finance, Operations, Business Intelligence and Commercial areas to inform, gain input, and support decision-making.
The Sr. Analyst supports the preparation of the Strategic Plan and Budget exercises for BPI, including but not limited to key business metrics such as: CAL, Financial Margin, ALCO and transfer pricing methodology, 3rd party collaboration and referral payments product and platforms commissions lines, geographical regions, segments. The candidate works independently with general supervision and is able to answer promptly to business questions using the Banks core systems (Globus, Teseo, and Hyperion). The individual may guide and assist lower level professionals in order to ensure timely and accurate delivery of routine tasks.
The Commercial Planning Sr. Analyst reports directly to the Commercial Planning Director of the Commercial Planning and Analysis Unit.
Position Duties / Responsibilities
- Responsible for the tracking, controlling, monitoring, analyzing, reporting and communicating business performance results by key segments, monitoring business results and explaining deviations from the strategic plan and budget.
- Handles the compilation and analysis of the annual budget and strategic plan, and quarterly forecasts
- Reengineering of accounting processes and financial reporting to simplify current processes, create efficiencies, improve quality of deliverables, and promote transparency of financial data
- Tracking and monitoring of special projects aimed to increase the business activity of the unit including, acquisitions and disposals of businesses
- Control, maintenance, and monthly closing of the MIS system, ensuring the reconciliation between the commercial and accounting systems
- Create and update desktop procedures and training documentation
Specialized Knowledge
• This individual should have a business degree with emphasis in Finance or Accounting
• Strong experience in the Finance Area of a Banking Organization serves as a substitute in absence of degree.
• Over 3 years' experience in the Finance Area of a Banking Organization with emphasis on FP&A, Business Analysis and MIS.
• Must be well versed in the markets and have general banking product knowledge
Education: Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience
Business Experience: 1-3 years of relevant experience or demonstrated required level of proficiency
Supervisory / Management Scope: Manage process or technology

Micro Soft Office Suite, Advance Excel, and Powerful Power Point Skills
Licenses / Certifications Certification in Microsoft Office suite, Advance Excel and Power Point would be a plus, but experience would compensate.
