Seeking an EXPERIENCED, TALENTED and ENTHUSIASTIC individual, who is goaloriented to join our Commercial Lending Team in Durango, CO! This is aProfessional and Administrative position primarily involving approving ordenying credit to customers. Soliciting new business and coordinatinginternal function to establish the ability to meet customer needs. Thisposition will build a thorough profile for each customer and maintain frequentpersonal, phone or email contact in an effort resulting in quality growth ofloan and deposit accounts. Right Here.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Interviews loan applicant and requests necessary information required tocomplete the loan application process.Requests applicant credit reports, background checks, reference checks,and other information pertinent to loan applicant's evaluation.Analyzes applicant financial status, credit, and property evaluation todetermine feasibility of granting loan.Corresponds with or interviews applicant and/or creditors to resolvequestions regarding application information.Compiles loan package, submits to loan committee for approval whenappropriate, and facilitates negotiation of loan structure, withapplicant, including fees, loan repayment options and other credit terms.Approves loan within specified limits or refers loan to loan committee forapproval.Ensures loan agreements are complete and accurate according to policy.Assures timely loan closing and funding activities.Identifies and analyzes potential loan markets to develop prospects forcommercial loans.Responsible for management of individual loan portfolio including allcollection and work out activities.Monitors existing loan portfolio to maintain a high-quality asset base.Maintains up-to-date client files including current balance sheets, profit& loss statements, cash flow projections and all loan documentation.Insure delinquent loans in your loan portfolio over 30 days do not exceed 1%of the portfolio.Adheres to policies and procedures and makes proactive business decisions thatlimit the organization's financial, regulatory, legal and reputationalrisks. Risk and compliance accountability in the employee's purview isstrong; adverse findings in audit, compliance, regulatory, qualitycontrol, loan and other reviews are minimal.CA Forms and Document Checklists are accurately completed at time of loanorigination. CRA Assessment Forms are accurately completed and in file.Adverse Action Forms are accurately completed and in file and are delivered ina time compliant manner. Based on loan origination type, all applicableearly disclosures are delivered in a time compliant manner. Audit and reviewsof the department are rated satisfactorily for compliance.Timely and accurate completion of credit risk rating and non-accrual decisionsinitiated by the officer. Problem Loan Reports are to be completed accuratelyand in compliance with GBCI Loan Policy. All assigned loans are properly riskrated in compliance with GBCI credit policy. Loan files are to be kept up todate and all technical and file exceptions are to be cleared in an appropriatemanner.Participates in developing lending and deposit business for the company. Callson clients to expa d existing business; calls on prospects seekingopportunities to expand the company's client base.Provides loan data to support marketing and sales promotion programs.Participates in company-sponsored and CRA activities that serve to support themission and values of the organization, or devote time to an outsideorganization that respectably represents involvement of our staff members inthe community and establishes a valuable partnership with our company.Actively seek out and pursue CRA eligible loans for BSJ.Additional ResponsibilitiesMust comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limitedto, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act and the Office of Foreign AssetsControl.Adhere to Bank of the San Juans Company Core Values.Keeps management appropriately informed of area activities and of anysignificant problems.Participate in Community Service and Bank sponsored activities that serve andsupport the mission and values of the Bank of the San Juans.Provide superior internal and external customer service: must demonstrateself-governance, courtesy and respect toward external customers as well asinternal customers (all organization personnel).Complete required bank and BVS training courses within assigned time frame(s).Represent Bank of the San Juans in a professional manner which includes aprofessional image, confidentiality, a positive "can-do" attitude,good attendance, punctuality, flexibility and adaptability in meeting bankand customer needs. About You
QUALIFICATIONS:A Bachelor's Degree in Business with an emphasis in finance or accounting orequivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Five to ten years of similar or related experience, including time spent inpreparatory positons.
