Commercial Finance Analyst

About the Role
In this role, you will support the Commercial Finance team across 2 markets in carrying out performance management, trade investment accruals & analysis, as well as providing decision support to the commercial teams. The ultimate goal is to maximise Net Sales Value and Commercial Contribution for the channels.
We are looking for an enthusiastic colleague to operate as the finance business partner for the sales and customer marketing teams. You will provide the financial focus and analytical rigor to support and challenge the delivery of our financial and commercial targets. You will be working closely with the Key Account Managers, Customer Marketing Managers, Innovation Commercialization Manager and DBS.
Top Accountabilities:
Develop performance analysis.
Identify the drivers of historic and future P&L performance by brand and customer with focus on volume, mix, price and gross margin that drives insight through the BPM process.
Actively participate in helping the commercial teams to understand performance through Customer Performance reviews.
Allocate and analyze trade spend by customer and brand.
Calculate trade spend accruals for closing in collaboration with sales.
Analyze net pricing; more specifically check euro minimum and ICSP guidelines.
Lead yearly list-price project Forecasting
Lead the monthly forecasting exercise with Sales.
About you
Business or finance university level degree (or equivalent).
Proven experience in a similar role.
Analytical Skills: solid understanding of appropriate analytical tools and techniques to use in conjunction with strong financial understanding.
Outstanding communication and influencing skills to build relationships. Able to flex/adapt communication style to deliver challenge and influence to business decision-making.
Understand and manage commercial risk, with the ability to develop and implement processes and controls to identify and measure specific risks.
