About the role:
As the Commercial Collections Litigation Manager at Enova, your responsibilities include overseeing the company's commercial collections litigation. You are required to possess, or be willing to acquire, a comprehensive understanding of commercial finance, as well as the laws and regulations pertaining to collections that impact Enova's commercial lending and servicing operations. This role reports to the Operations Manager, SMB Collections.
Responsibilities:
Manage commercial collections litigation, overseeing claims, disputes, and counterclaims Lead and supervise a commercial collections team Direct outside counsel in routine and complex collections litigation, collaborating on enterprise and case-specific strategies Provide legal advice to business leaders on litigation strategy, dispute resolution, and drive desired outcomes Oversee discovery, including working with business clients and outside counsel to respond to discovery requests and collect documents Conduct legal research, assess the validity of claims, negotiate settlements, and regularly present legal and analytical analysis to the business Requirements:
A Juris Doctorate and in good standing with at least one state bar 3 or more years of relevant experience in law firms and/or as in-house counsel Preferably, experience in collections, commercial financial services, or fintech/financial companies, with a strong interest in developing expertise in commercial collections Ability to analyze state and federal laws, providing concise analysis to business partners, and general familiarity with bankruptcy law Strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, critical thinking, negotiation skills, ability to work under pressure, and a dynamic, self-motivated individual who can work independently and collaboratively with a team For Colorado-based candidates, the budgeted range is $100,000-$115,000 but actual compensation may vary based on experience including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in incentive plans, and the Company’s benefits plans.
