Job Description
As a key member of the Naval Operations team reporting to the Operations Leader, you will be responsible for delivering Commercial Project Support to the Naval Project Management community. This will involve supporting Project Managers in running multimillion-pound projects, both for UK and International Customers with opportunities to interact with various teams both within our organisation in the UK and with suppliers and customers operating globally.
In this role you will focus on:
Creating, transmitting and storing project documentation,Creating and Maintenance / Manipulation of Excel Files,Preparing purchase requisitions and supplier monitoring,Maintaining the material commitment to manage project purchases,Creating/Managing Customer financial file (including PO/Invoice registers),Assisting with equipment shipping requirements,Supporting the PM with compiling contract variations for cost, timing, etc.,Managing and coordinating Supplier interfaces on behalf of the PM,Communicating with other departments, customers and suppliers to: progress production of Documents e.g. specifications, drawings; progress actions and update of Project Action Tracker.
We are looking for a committed and professional individual with:
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software, especially Word & Excel,Excellent communication skills,The ability to interface with people at all levels both with Customers organisations and internally,Proactive nature with the ability to make things happen,Committed to taking ownership of designated tasks,Strong organisational skills,Valid UK passport,Possession or ability to obtain BPSS security clearance.
What will make you stand out:
Experience with MS Project or similar project management software,Educated to A level or equivalent,Experience of SAP,Experience of working in a busy office environment,Understanding of basic contractual terms and conditions.
