Zendesk is hiring! We are seeking a high-performing Account Executive who is responsible for crafting, managing and closing opportunities within a territory. This person must demonstrate all the behaviors associated with a high performance sales culture, specifically prospecting for new business, upsell and cross-sell within our extensive install base and delivering results against a quota.
What you'll be doing
Exceed activity, pipeline, and revenue goals on a quarterly basisContinually build pipeline of new business, upsell, and cross-sell opportunitiesBecome an authority on Zendesks products and conduct discovery calls, presentations, and demos with prospects and customersDevelop and manage relationships with prospects and accounts in the territoryDemonstrate and sell value to key partners within the accounts during fast paced as well as complex sales cyclesTrack all opportunity and customer details including use case, purchase time frames, next steps, and forecasting in Salesforc
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degreeExperience selling to director/VP level leaders2+ years of software selling experience; SaaS experience preferred!1+ years outbound prospecting experience a plusTrack record of success selling into mid-market companiesTechnically savvy; detailed understanding of a related technologyProficiency using Salesforce.comSkilled in virtual presentations, online web demos, remote sales processesOutstanding verbal and written communication skills

In this role, youll work primarily remotely with the support of a dynamic and caring team. Well provide you with the digital tools and experiences to be together-even when were apart. Being digital first doesnt mean were digital only. Youll also have the flexibility to join us at a Zendesk workspace, in one of our Zendesk offices or our flex office spaces. We will bring our people together on occasion to connect, collaborate, learn, or celebrate in person.

The US hourly OTE (On Target Earnings) range for this position is $65.38-$98.08 with a pay mix of 50/50 (base/commission). This position may also be eligible for bonus, benefits, or related incentives. While this range reflects the minimum and maximum value for new hire rates for the position across all US locations, the offer for the successful candidate for this position will be based on job related capabilities, applicable experience, and other factors such as work location. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base rate only (or OTE for commissions based roles), and do not include bonus, benefits, or related incentives.
