Description
We are offering a contract to hire opportunity for a Collections Specialist in the Manufacturing industry. The role is based in Saddle Brook, New Jersey, and will involve working on-site. As a Collections Specialist, you will be responsible for managing aging reports, collecting on outstanding balances, and assisting customers with invoices.
Responsibilities:
• Manage accounts receivable to maintain the financial health of the organization
• Regularly review aging reports and identify outstanding account balances
• Take necessary actions to collect overdue payments from customers
• Assist customers in understanding their invoices and resolve any related inquiries
• Work closely with the Accounts Receivable team to clean up and maintain accurate account records
• Use Excel and other relevant software to manage customer data and track payment activities
• Ensure all collections activities are conducted in compliance with laws and company policies
• Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach during all interactions with customers
• Contribute to team efforts in achieving overall company objectives.
Requirements • Candidate must possess a minimum of 3-5 years' experience in the Collections Specialist role within the manufacturing industry
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR) is required
• Experience in B2B collections is essential
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills are imperative
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or a related field is preferred
• Experience with financial software or ERP systems would be advantageous
• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity
• Ability to maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.
