Description:
CNC Programmer/Operator
Job Specific Duties and Responsibilities
· Read technical drawings and set up the machines in accordance with these blueprints
· Use computer software to model cutting paths and program machines accordingly
· Perform quality assurance tests to ensure products meet design specifications
· Adjust machine cutting paths or settings to optimize production while maintaining quality
· Consider tools required to cut particular materials and program machines accordingly
· Troubleshoot and resolve problems with machines as they arise
· Perform basic machine maintenance such as cleaning and sharpening
· Train new Team Members on how to properly operate CNC machines and programs
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
· At least three years of previous experience as a CNC Programmer in a manufacturing environment.
· High School Diploma/GED
· CNC Programming Certificate/Certification preferred
· Must have at least three years previous experience with Mastercam
· Must have strong attention to detail
· Familiarity and skill with interpreting technical drawings and blueprints
· Skilled at troubleshooting and resolving mechanical or logistical problems that arise
· Ability to work independently and closely follow directions is essential
· Should have a positive and professional attitude
· Available to work weekends and overtime as needed
· Previous experience in training/development of apprentice CNC Programmers/Operators
1st Shift CNC Programmer opening in the tool room
They are programming at the computer next to the machine out on the floor.
Must be comfortable not being in an office setting and jumping on a machine when needed.
Team player; help out other machinists and operators
6am - 4pm
50 - 58 hours a week (8 hours on Saturday's)
$30 - $36/hour

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
MUST HAVE:
CNC Offline Programmer 3+ years
Mastercam programming from scratch
Read 3D print and program from there
Large Die components
They are programming at the computer next to the machine out on the floor
Need to make sure all components of the part is being programmed for the CNC to be ran
Must be comfortable not being in an office setting and jumping on a machine when needed.
Team player; help out other machinists and operators
