The CNC Machinist will operate multi-axis lathes in support of machiningand other process which includes tasks such as loading and tending runsof parts, or performing one-step operations on individual parts.
Minimum Skill Qualifications:
1+ years of experience operating a multi-axis CNC lathe which wouldinclude:
Positioning and securing tools in holding device, machine tables, chuck,centers, and fixtures.
Indexing turret and adjusting positions of tools at each station inrelation to work piece to assure clearance between moving parts andmachining of specified dimensions and tolerances
Starting and observing machine operation to detect malfunctions orout-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls or controlmedia as required.
Prior use of standard hand tools
Prior use of standard pneumatic tools
Prior use of standard inspection tools i.e. calipers, micrometers, dropgauges
Prior experience in precision metal machining
Prior experience in machining with tolerances of +/- .001
Prior experience machining metals such as; stainless steel, ductileiron, Hastelloy
Essential Competences and Capabilities:
Ability to read/interpret blueprints, job orders, tooling instructions,and standard charts for such specifications as dimensions, tolerances,and tooling instructions
Perform housekeeping duties including 5S, coolant replacement, and TPM
Follow Quality Policy and Procedures in all aspects of daily duties andresponsibilities
Willingness and ability to rotate into other positions within the teamas required to meet production requirements
Actively participate in defining idea and strategies to meet quality andperformance objectives during improvement reviews within the team
Actively participate in team meetings as required (safety, problemsolving, etc.)
Ability to problem-solve individually or as part of a group as jobduties require
High School Diploma or equivalent

Responsible for prompt and regular attendance as scheduled
Physical Demands and Environment Conditions:
Continuously standing up to 8 hours
Repetitive grasping and fine manipulation with hands
Frequent walking, bending, squatting, or twisting
Repetitive push or pull
Ability to lift 10-20 pounds frequently without assistance and up to 50pounds occasionally with assistance
This position is performed in a manufacturing environment. May beexposed to:
Loud operating machinery
Wide temperature variations
Exposure to chemicals, vapors and lubricants
