Responsibilities
Provides patient care in a medical office setting. Assists providers and staff in coordinating patient care. Functions as a primary liaison between patients, families, staff, and providers.
Communicates with clinical, clerical, providers, patients, and families to ensure continuity of care.
Ensures that the medical record and documents are accurately complete.
Escorts patients to exam rooms, takes vital signs and obtains medical data (patient's history, symptoms, and reason for visit).
Prepares and maintains exam rooms and pod area with supplies and equipment for treatment.
Performs telephone triage to patient utilizing approved protocols.
Responds to messages and calls from patients and other callers. Calls in prescriptions as ordered by the provider to assist the provider in managing the clinical load.
Qualifications
Education: Required: High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
Experience: Required: min of 1 year of previous experience in a long term care setting required
Licensure/Certifications: Required: Certified as Nursing Aide on Texas Nurse Aide Registry by Texas Department of Aging and Disability
Pay Range
$12.33 - $16.95 /hour
