Job Description
Work experience should highlight information systems administration in cloud-based environments, management consulting, quality control and leadership acumen. The consultant demonstrates a proven track record of provisioning, installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting application systems and cloud services. This is a highly visible and dynamic position which requires an individual who can think strategically and execute tactically. This role requires delivery experience in systems engineering, cybersecurity, and cloud-based application support. Dedicated to excellence in customer service and proven track record of working with federal clients in a professional manner. The candidate should have strong quantitative, analytical, communication and writing skills.
Responsible for the configuration, deployment, and management of a mixed cloud environment including virtual infrastructure-as-a-service supporting traditional applications, cloud-based serverless applications, and related cloud infrastructure, networking, security, and monitoring solutions.
Skills and Requirements
Minimum 5-7 Years of Experience with:
* Amazon Web Services including IAM, EC2, EBS, RDS, EMR, VPC, KMS, S3, Secrets Manager, and Systems Manager;
* Microsoft servers operating systems and supporting infrastructure including Windows Server, Active Directory, and Remote Desktop Services;
* Linux servers and operating systems including Red Hat Linux and Amazon Linux; and
* Key server software including Apache HTTPD, Apache Tomcat, and Microsoft SQL Server.
Proven skills including:
* Provisioning and configuration of AWS VPC environments including Internet gateways, subnetwork routing, VPC peering, and VPN;
* Installation and configuration of EC2 services within VPCs including server provisioning, operating system configuration, AWS routing and security groups;
* Installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of application services such as Microsoft SQL Server, Apache HTTPD, and Apache Tomcat;
* Close coordination with developers and end users to help diagnose and solve problems;
* Automation and supervision of periodic maintenance and patching, including locating, testing, and installing vendor patches;
* Updating documentation, guides, and standard operating procedures as environments are created and evolve over time; and
* Mentorship and development of junior systems staff.
Education Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology/Information Systems, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent, required. null
