General Responsibilities
The Cloud Solutions Architect is responsible for developing solutions in the cloud that meet business requirements and are aligned with enterprise architectural principles and the cloud computing strategy. The architect develops and maintains reference architectures and best practices, including the use of templates and automation, that allow for secure, high-performing, and highly available solutions. This role will also oversee the implementation of cloud governance principles and efforts for cost optimization in the cloud. Also collaborates with Information Technology, Project Management, and Operations areas to provide technical expertise and support for cloud deployments and designs. Performs analysis of various technologies to develop recommendations that meet both the tactical and strategic needs of the organization. Defines solutions using architectural design principles. Provides higher-level support on day-to-day technical roadblocks and oversees the implementation of cloud adoption plans and best practices. Assists business analysts with cloud designs and assessments. Provides implementation guidance based on Enterprise Architecture principles and the Cloud Strategy. Leads cloud optimization and automation efforts. Applies policies and guidelines to enforce Cloud Governance. Stays up-to-date with new cloud services to implement and drive cloud adoption or cost optimization.
Helps customers to understand cloud solutions through presentations, demonstrations, and benchmarks. Provides technical leadership in a pre-sales and post-sales capacity for customers to support successful understanding, evaluation, and adoption of Cloud technologies. Researches industry trends and makes appropriate technical recommendations. Evaluate emerging domain-specific architecture technologies and recommend those that will increase performance, reliability, cost-effectiveness, infrastructure flexibility, and value to the organization and the customer.
Performs duties through methods and actions that are consistently ethical and in total compliance with the laws, applicable regulations, Code of Ethics, corporate policies and guidelines and rules of conduct. Completes corporate trainings and certifications intended for the detection and prevention of money laundering related activities and fraud, insider training and conflict of interest policies and procedures, as applicable.
Education and Experience Required
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related is required.
• One (1) year of experience with AWS and Azure cloud implementations and/or equivalent certifications (Associate or professional/Expert level).
• Five (5) years of experience implementing network/virtualized solutions or deployment of application platforms. • Experience with infrastructure as code (CLI, PowerShell, Python, AWS, and Azure SDK) and automation for the cloud.
• Experience designing solutions for the cloud (IaaS and PaaS components).
Knowledge and Skills Required
• Ability to evaluate and make good decisions about different business situations taking into account the mission, strategic objectives, and business nature.
• Knowledge and application of strategic planning principles and techniques.
• Ability to apply problem solving and innovative techniques to handle difficult situations.
• Ability to quickly identify clients' needs and offer accurate recommendations.
• Communicate effectively both oral and written in Spanish and English.
• Speaks correctly, and fluently and provides clear information to different audiences.
• Ability to plan and control tasks to effectively meet due dates.

Additional Information
Monday to Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
Available to work extended hours, weekends and/or holidays as needed and the availability to travel as required supporting projects in the region.
