Job Description
Research/Architect/Design/Implement tests software structure, frameworks, protocols, and algorithms. Determines coding practices, development tools, and validation requirements. Performs pathfinding and surveys new technologies around IO technologies (PCIe/CXL) and AI/ML to effectively drive validation plans on complex workloads involving CPUs, GPUS, Interconnects, NICs and large attached storage.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Create, define and develop system validation environment and test suites.Deliver test plan, test framework, targets and KPIs for data-center related products on a node or rack level environment and/or environment for validation of software simulation for CPUs and GPUs over multiple areas of the software lifecycle. This encompasses development, validation, debug, optimization, customer engagement, and/or product support.Close collaboration with planning teams, architects, validation, PostSi bring up teams.Role model and foster collaboration within the team.Assess technical risk for the product/feature and drive mitigation plans, complex debug activities.Provide guidance and mentorship for junior engineers while encouraging technical growth.
As a successful candidate, you must possess:
Good understanding of CPU and GPU architecture along with memory controllers is a requirement.Understanding of AI/Graphics workloads and how their parameters feature impact CPU/GPU/Memory/IO performance.Proven track record in SoC verification with expertise in computer architecture, memory technologies.Strong software engineering and debugging skills.Strong written and oral communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a larger team.Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Math, or any STEM related degree or equivalent with 9+ years of experience in product development or Master's Degree with 6+ Years of experience.
6+ years of advanced programming knowledge, including full understanding of the graphics/network/AI pipeline and frameworks.6+ years of experience with Python/C/C++ programming skills.6+ years of experience with datacenter storage hardware, protocols and software implementations primarily from a data plane perspective.6+years of experience in datacenter storage management, automation and monitoring.
Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding of computer architectures.High-performance, complex multi-threaded systems architecture experience.Experience in designing and building storage/network solutions for AI/ML, HPC and/or other I/O intensive workloads at large scale.Assembly / Script programming experience.Experience developing device drivers and/or hardware/software interfacing.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $186,552.00-$279,772.00
*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience
Working Model
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
