Work you'll do
As a Cloud Monitoring Lead, you'll be responsible for leading a team and managing the development and execution of cloud monitoring strategies. Your role involves ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our cloud infrastructure by implementing robust monitoring solutions.
Responsibilities:
Strategy Development: Develop and execute comprehensive cloud monitoring strategies aligned with business objectives and industry best practices.
Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of monitoring engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
Architecture Design: Design, implement, and maintain monitoring solutions for various cloud environments (AWS is must, Azure, GCP, etc.) ensuring real-time visibility into system performance, security, and availability.
Tool Evaluation and Implementation: Evaluate, select, and implement monitoring tools and platforms to effectively track key metrics, diagnose issues, and proactively identify potential problems.
Incident Response and Troubleshooting: Act as an escalation point for complex issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve incidents promptly and mitigate future risks.
Performance Optimization: Analyze monitoring data to identify performance bottlenecks, optimize resource utilization, and improve system efficiency.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of monitoring procedures, standards, and configurations. Generate regular reports on system performance and KPIs for stakeholders.
Security Compliance: Ensure monitoring solutions adhere to security standards, implement security controls, and participate in audits to maintain compliance

Qualifications
Required:
10+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure monitoring and management
5+ years of experience in AWS cloud platform
2+ years of experience in Azure or GCP
2+ years of hands-on experience with monitoring tools: CloudWatch, Dynatrace and Splunk
2+ years of experience managing and mentoring teams
Bachelor's degree
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Preferred:
Bachelors/ Master's degree in Computer Science or information Technology
Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, or relevant cloud certifications
Hands-on experience with monitoring tools: Prometheus and Datadog
Strong leadership skills
Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
Good understanding of networking concepts, security protocols, and best practices
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $100,000 to $166,000.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
