The Client File Manager is a key team member of the client delivery group at Alight which is tasked with providing platform implementation and ongoing maintenance services for clients. The Client File Manager is focused specifically on the build and maintenance of electronic data exchanges.
This role is responsible for managing a team of 7-10 Client File Analysts, while also individually managing a given set of clients. The Client File Manager is focused on the delivery of high-quality administration and is comfortable working both independently, as well as with clients, vendors, and internal teams. They will help create a culture of focus, understand that what we do impacts the well-being of our clients' employees, and will live that in the day-to-day interactions on their team.
The ideal candidate can jump into a challenge, figure out what information is needed, work cross-functionally to analyze the problem, and develop and present a recommendation. They thrive on managing the technology development and quality assurance efforts for clients. This role requires strong collaboration and communication skills, the ability to work with a virtual team and demonstrate a moderate level of cross-cultural competencies. Candidates need to be analytical, well-rounded, flexible, responsible, motivational, and driven leaders.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Centric Client Delivery
Leads internal meetingsMain point of contact for Client Managers on data related itemsUnderstands contractual agreements and performance measures and holds team accountableManages projects from beginning to endDelegates work to team members and ensures a balanced workload and accurate capacity management.Drives team to deliver ongoing processes (import/exports, payroll/carrier files, and discrepancy reports)Ensures high quality development and acceptance testingOwns escalations and client action plan delivery tasksIdentifies risk and implements mitigation plans, as needed
Team Development
Provides coaching and development to build technical and operational skills within entry level rolesCoaches and consults team on best practicesManages the performance and development of individual colleagues including, administering HR policies, conducting Continuous Performance Management conversations, assessing pay and performance, etc.Leads training courses
Key Skills
Strong technical acumen - Microsoft Excel proficiency, Access a plusData driven mindset, familiarity with data technology, inclusive of expertise in EDIOutstanding communication and time management skillsExcellent Project Management abilitiesFamiliarity with benefits administration technology and industry
Education & Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience3-5 years of relevant job experience, with increasing levels of responsibility and oversight

Pay Transparency Statement: Alight takes into consideration a candidate's experience, education, certification/credentials, market data, internal equity, and geography when determining an offer for a successful employment candidate, and Alight does so on an individualized, non-discriminatory basis. Therefore, an offer may fall anywhere between the estimated minimum base salary for this role of $65,600.00/year (for full time employees) and the estimated maximum base salary for this role of $73,000.00/year (for full-time employees).
