Client Architects in Thought Machine work across pre-sales and delivery engagements to help clients successfully modernise their core banking and payments estates through implementation of Vault. They provide advice on how to deploy, configure, integrate with and migrate into the platform and also consult on how to successfully execute an end to end core replacement programme.
Duties
Driving team strategy within the region ensuring that Client Architecture is meeting the needs of clients and the wider organisation within the regionAdvising tier 1 clients and prospective clients on how to deploy, configure and integrate with VaultPresenting Vault architecture and best practice to senior client stakeholders within pre-sales engagementsWorking with tier 1 clients to define target architectures and transition states for implementations of and migrations into Vault, applying best practiceCapturing product features needed to allow clients to realise value and feedback into the internal Engineering function, engaging with internal stakeholders and championing those features within the organisation
Requirements
Essential
Experience designing enterprise architectures for large financial service institutionsDomain knowledge in banking, ideally core banking or paymentsStrong technical background, ideally awareness of more than one programming paradigmGood practical knowledge of established architectural patterns such as event-based architecture, CQRS and process orchestration.Knowledge of cloud technologies and architectures including emerging approaches for achieving high availability and disaster recovery, including running systems across multi availability zones and regionsStrong client-facing skills with the ability to communicate and defend a technical position to a mixed audience consisting of enterprise architects, engineers and business stakeholders
Desirable
Familiarity with new and emerging technologies such as Kubernetes, Kafka, Istio and NewSQL databasesSome experience of large scale migration programmes, especially core banking

Salary Range: $190K to $240K base
The salary offered is based on relevant experience
