DESCRIPTION OF WORKThe employee in this position will provide clerical support to the Director of Nursing in a State Veterans' Home (DVVH) by greeting visitors and by providing administrative and customer support.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment37.5 hours/week; 7.5 hours/dayWork hours are 1st Shift: 7:30AM - 3:45PM, with 30-minute lunch.Travel and overtime as needed.Hours may change based on operational needs.Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); orGraduation from high school; orAn equivalent combination of experience and training.Additional Requirements:
You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Criteria (not required):Completed a high school business curriculum.Experience in any of the following; typing, data entry, filing, shredding, answering, screening, and forwarding telephone calls, creating work orders, updating and maintaining policy and procedure manuals, proofreading completed materials for accuracy, filing and retrieving documents for various departments.Experience with Microsoft ExcelLegal Requirements:A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.A conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening.This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.How to Apply:
