Become a Clean Energy Project Manager at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you'll, work in the Clean Energy Project Management (CEPM) group within our New Development Planning group in Transmission & Distribution and will be responsible for leading projects through design and construction for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicle customers requesting service throughout the SCE territory. As the Electric Vehicle (EV) market continues to grow, light, medium, and heavy-duty EV customers continue to increase their footprint requesting new services or expansion of their existing services and require customer focus and support of their projects.
Transportation Electrification (TE) is a critical pivotal initiative for Southern California Edison (SCE), and we are taking a leading role to ensure that TE plays a major part in the reduction of greenhouse gas (GHG) and criteria pollutant emissions in California. The transportation sector is one of the largest consumers of energy, second to electric power generation, with the majority of energy consumed coming from petroleum. Electrifying the transportation sector and reducing petroleum usage is critical to realizing California's ambitious climate and air quality goals. In addition to cleaning and modernizing the grid, SCE is offering tariffs to support charger availability, make electric fueling more affordable and increase awareness of the benefits of electric transportation. Responsible for managing electric vehicle projects for light, medium, and heavy-duty electric vehicle customers through the project management life cycle model. Responsible for facilitating: Field Verification requests; Documentation for new submittals to the New Development Design Hubs; Scheduling to Regional Hubs for construction. Maintain continuous communication with various departments. Provide weekly/bi-weekly reports to EV Customers and facilitate monthly conference calls to provide project status and address customer questions. Receive Preliminary/Final Designs from Design Hubs, facilitate customer approval and communication with Design Hub. Ensure permits and easements are secured and all work order requirements are met when scheduling projects for construction with Districts or Regional Hubs. Coordinate/Schedule SCE Electrical construction and SCE Civil construction as required (i.e., customer tie-in, etc.). Provide project updates within database and report out to Manager and CEPM team. Provide EV updates at regional meetings to various levels of management. Build relationships with District and Regional scheduling contacts, Production Specialists, and Preconstruction Inspectors to ensure timely and successful project completion.
Qualifications
The essentials
Seven years or more of Project Management experience. Experience directing and implementing small to medium projects, including identifying, maintaining, and/or adjusting the cost, scope, and resources, managing vendors, and leading the formal planning, tracking, and reporting of project performance. Valid U.S. Driver's license.
The preferred
Ability to integrate work across related areas, develop the business and services to improve customer satisfaction and productivity, manage risks and safety appropriately, develop and execute business plans, direct information, and provide outstanding service to internal and external customers. Experience with service planning principles, overhead/underground construction standards, interfacing effectively and collaborating with clients, peers, project personnel, and all levels of management to develop solutions and ensure partner buy-in. Experience developing and delivering technical presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences. Project Management Certification is a plus.

This position's work mode is remote. Employee is able to work primarily at home or remote however, the employee may be expected to come to an SCE facility on occasion. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Hiring organizations can add further requirements related to specific jobs.
