Position Summary:
The Claims Training Specialist reports directly to the Claims Manager. This position is responsible,
for developing, managing, and executing the training process for new and current claims examiners
as applicable.
THIS POSITION REQUIRES EXPERIEINCE IN MEDICAL AND DENTAL CLAIMS, MEDICARE EXPERIENCE DOES NOT TRANSLATE TO THIS POSITION.
TPA Experience is Required
GBAS SYSTEM EXPERIENCE IS PREFERRED, HOWEVER NOT REQUIRED
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Review and update Claims Processing Training materials in partnership with the Claims Manager.Train team members on fundamentals of claims processing.Provide a detailed overview of the claims system. (GBAS SYSTEM)Create Policies and Procedures.Lead performance improvement projects as assigned.Perform and Review claims audits for trainees.Review of other applications used such as SharePoint, SDS, Employee Portals, etc.Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability Requirements:High School Education required.Claims Processing Experience required.TPA Experience working with Self-Funded group benefit plansExperience with Teams Platform, able to utilize to conduct trainings.Self-motivated and energized, excelling in a fast-paced environment.Able and comfortable presenting to an audience of one or more peers.Compassionate and caring, an individual who enjoys working with people.Organized and able to prioritize workload to meet deadlines.Excellent communication skills.
