Find your career path here with Stantec! Stantec is seeking a Transportation Intern in our Lake Mary, Florida office to assist our growing roadway, planning, traffic, and bridge groups. Candidates should be technical thinkers with beginner level experience with design/construction. Must be able to work collaboratively with a team of engineers and designers at all levels to deliver quality plans to clients.
As an Intern for Stantec, you will work in a team environment and have exposure to exciting transportation engineering projects. This is a terrific opportunity for a college student to support a number of exciting projects.

Your Key Responsibilities
The candidate will assist engineering and administrative staff with such tasks as:
Applying formulas to routine calculations.
Preparing spreadsheets and graphs for engineers.
Assisting with site inspections and observations.
Performing Microstation CAD work.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Detail-oriented and organized.
Ability to work independently and in a group.
Ability to multitask and work effectively at a fast pace.
Willingness to learn new skills and interface collaboratively with a large and experienced team across all levels and disciplines.
Self-motivated.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
College class work in Civil Engineering and current status as Civil Engineering student working towards a bachelor’s degree.Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
