Job Description
As a Chrome Hardware Engineer, you will work closely with Google, OEM, and ODM in designing/developing Chrome devices. In this role you will provide hardware technical support and consult with design review, simulation, electrical validation, and debug. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Work closely with Google/OEM/ODM in designing/developing Chrome devices including Chromebook, convertible, detachable, Chromebase, Chromebox.
Provide hardware design review, technical support or consultation of SI/PI simulation and electrical validation as well as the hardware platform debug.
Provide technical training, consultation, Intel collaterals update, issue debug and know-how sharing.
Drive resolution of cross-functional issues on system bring up, design validation, and debug failure analysis/triage/investigation.
Provides technical support for solutions that incorporate one or more Intel products and technologies, drives solution design ensuring time-to-market readiness, transforms opportunities to design and production wins, and enables ecosystem and industry partners for platform solution readiness.
Develops and implements product design, development, and validation tools and provides technical and issue resolution support during development, testing, and production.
Evaluates, designs, and develops new software and hardware fixtures and utilizes tools during project deployment to validate and optimize product quality and performance. Creates product specifications, hardware design guides, application notes, and other supporting technical collateral.
Collaborates and enables internal and external silicon, hardware, and software teams to deliver latest products in the market.
Partners with customer RnD and manufacturing to ensure smooth product ramp through integrating customer DFX requirements, mitigating customer factory challenges, delivering product training, and providing health oversight with rapid technical support and systematic improvement action.
Qualifications
BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
5 years above experience in the design/development of high-speed interfaces and hardware circuits; knowledge on signal integrity, power integrity, power delivery, simulation, and EMI/EMC; hands-on debug capability on Intel Architecture-based platform including core and atom using oscilloscope, ITP, DCI; ability to analysis/review customer schematic/PCB board/simulation with industry standard CAD tool such as OrCAD, Allegro, PCB Editor, Speed 2000, PowerSI; Soldering/rework capability.
Experience in working with OEM/ODM and/or Google; Ability to work independently, multitask effectively, and in a team environment; Proficient interpersonal communication skills both verbal and written.

Working Model
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
