About the Position:
SPG continues to scale our $4B+ (and rapidly growing) insurance company and develop all of the resources, tools, best practices and policies and procedures that would exist of an insurer of that size. A critical part of our DNA and growth opportunities is attributable to new program/product development.
This role will focus on organizing all our capabilities and resources to take program/product ideas from ideation done in the field from feasibility to implementation. The role will also support all program carrier relations to support new program launches as well as other carrier relationship activities such as compensation negotiation, product, line, & geographical expansion.
The position reports to the Chief Strategy Officer and supports the entire SPG portfolio. The position works closely with other company resources including, but not limited to, actuarial, operations, project management, legal, marketing, sales, research & finance.
Role Description & Responsibilities:
This role interacts with the Wholesale and MGA teams within HUB International and Specialty Program Group, and will be responsible for the following:
Support development of strategic product roadmap for each business
Development of new product within our Wholesale and MGA businesses from Feasibility to Implementation
Oversee product collaboration and market activity
Liaise with key HUB stakeholders to understand client needs and current gaps in coverage
Drive innovation through product development for HUB Specialty Practices and Specialty Program Group
Analyze homogenous characteristics of HUB portfolio to establish program solutions
Build and maintain relationships with a portfolio of the Top E&S & Program Markets in the marketplace
Connect Markets to the Wholesale and MGA businesses as new and replacement needs arise
Leverage Top Wholesale and MGA carrier relationships across the SPG platform
Analyze Top carrier relationships for additional product opportunities across the SPG platform
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree
10 years of related experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Desired Qualifications:
Wholesale and MGA insurance experience, particularly with highly acquisitive M&A Integration activity.
Consulting experience with client-facing responsibilities.
Experience in drafting policy forms, creating underwriting guidelines, system design, competitive analysis, utilization of third party data.
Project Management experience
Familiarity with the MGA/MGU program carrier marketplace including full stack domestic insurance carriers, fronting companies, reinsurance brokers, & London marketplace
Target Markets Certified Program Leader Designation
