  ManTech is seeking a motivated, mission and customer-oriented  *Chief Enterprise Engineer/Architect * to join our team in the Washington D.C area—hybrid/virtual. 

   

  Responsibilities include but are not limited to:  

  Responsible for the overall technical solution implementation and performance 

  Develop IT architecture and solutions focusing on scalability and extensibility

  Support the technical lead and be the authorized interface with Government technical leaders and government technical and operational management personnel 

  Design, approve, and enforce technical solutions and standards

  Balance use of cutting-edge innovative technologies with the resiliency and reliability required of mission-critical applications

  Develop schedules and technology project plans, evaluate, and improve work quality and system performance 

  Supports and participates in PI planning activities

  Maintains and enhances the architectural runway needed by developers to properly architect and build resilient applications

  Assists in identifying and monitoring technical risks and assuring plans are in place to mitigate risks before they become issues

  Supervise contractor technical personnel and communicate policies, purposes, and goals of the organization to subordinates 

  Provide government personnel solution progress, project updates and other technical contract-related concerns  

   

  Required Qualifications:  

  A bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

  Recognized cloud certification, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) Certified Solutions Architect (Professional preferred)

  A minimum of (12) twelve years of experience with large scale portfolio application development and 24/7 operations procedures and best practices

  Functional knowledge of DevSecOps and Agile practices and methods 

  Specialized experience to include, solution development, expertise in the management and control of project budget and labor resources, operational leadership of IT products or services, demonstrated capability in managing multi-task contracts and/or projects of various types and complexity 

  Experience in information systems design, operations and/or management 

  Knowledge of or prior experience with the DHS Customs and Border Protection environment

  Preferred Qualifications:  

  A minimum of (10) ten years of experience managing software development personnel in an Agile environment 

  At least (10) ten years of experience with engineering/architecting mission-critical enterprise IT applications.

  Experience providing customer guidance on technical solutions and experience leading implementation and further solution design of other IT services.

  Experience with leading migrations of applications and/or systems to the cloud.

  Experience with mobile applications and data analytics.

  Experience with managing and consolidating diverse user interfaces and architectures within an application portfolio.

  Familiarity with Cybersecurity Network Defense practices and methodologies 

  Experience providing detailed engineering and technical leadership to engineering staff involving multiple, complex, and interrelated project tasks.

  A master’s Degree

  Scaled Agile Framework version 6 (SAFe) Architect (ARCH) certification

  Clearance Requirements:  

  Must be a U.S. citizen

  Must be able to obtain DHS/CBP Suitability Clearance

   

  Physical Requirements:  

  Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time 

  Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel 

  Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer 

  The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations 

  The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
