What You Will Achieve
You will be operating automatic and manual chemical/fermentation process equipment of varying complexity in various production processes in accordance with operating procedures. You will perform quality control analyses as required to complete in-process batches and identify variations. You will be trained in hazardous material handling and emergency procedures as these processes may generate high pressure and/or critical reactions.
As part of the Technical Operations team, your prior work experience and ability to apply your breadth of knowledge will help you adapt the standard methods and procedures. You will help us identify required delivery and process improvements that drive increased efficiency, throughput and quality. You will arrive at decisions on which methods and procedures are the best fit for different work situations.

How You Will Achieve It
Manage own time, professional development and be accountable for own results.
Prioritize own workflow and assist in prioritizing the work low of less-experienced colleagues.
Perform duties required in operating a variety of equipment used in the assigned area of the division, maintaining responsibility for tasks.
Identify and communicate all operating deviations and problems and take immediate action to resolve any near miss situations.
Operate automatic and manual chemical process equipment of varying complexity in various production processes in accordance with operating procedures.
Perform quality control analyses as required to complete in-process batches and identifies variations.
Complete all documentation according with Good Manufacturing Practices {also cGMP} and Good Distribution Practices {part of GxP} standards.
Responsible updating of Manufacturing Standard Work and Operation Standard work.
Responsible for preparation and clearing of equipment for maintenance work.
Perform material receiving, staging, material movement, dispensing, sampling, filter inspection and change out and charging operation as per Standard Operating Procedure.
Complete trainings in PLS (Pfizer Learning Systems) and others relevant areas.
Adapt successfully to shifting priorities and modifications to procedures and processes.
Qualifications
Must-Have
High School Diploma or GED
4+ years' experience
Certification in assigned area, if applicable.
Basic functional and technical knowledge of the discipline.
Good interpersonal, and problem solving skills.
Demonstrated oral and written communication skills, including the ability to maintain an accurate scientific notebook.
Computer Skills, such as Microsoft Applications and experience with System Application and Products.
Nice-to-Have
Bachelor's Degree.
Prior experience in a light industrial setting working with chemicals.
Previous fermentation experience.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Physical Demands: Considerable standing, bending, reaching, twisting, kneeling, walking, climbing of stairs and ladders, lifting, and moving of containers up to 25 kg.Work Environment: Considerable outside environment. Frequent exposure to airborne particles; hot/cold conditions. Must work near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is loud. Use of hearing, hand, head, feet and eye protection is required.
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Day Shift,
7 days a week operation.
12-Hour Shift (0600-1830) 7-day Alternating schedule.

The salary for this position ranges from $22.06 to $36.77 per hour. In addition, this position offers eligibility for overtime, weekend, holiday and other pay premiums depending on the work schedule and the Company's policies.
