Who We Are...
Avalanche is seeking a talented 3D Artist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a blend of technical skill and creative vision, capable of crafting detailed 3D assets for our dynamic game worlds. You'll work closely with the rest of the art team to develop characters and environments that are both visually stunning and effectively integrated within our game engines.
Your Role Accountabilities...
Create high-quality 3D models following project art and technical specifications.Collaborate with the art team to conceptualize and implement assets that fit within the game's world.Utilize software such as Maya, ZBrush, and Substance Painter to develop models and textures.Work with technical artists to ensure assets are optimized for performance without compromising artistic integrity.Assist in refining art pipelines and asset guidelines.Proactively seek feedback from peers and leads to elevate the quality of the art.Adapt to new tools and technologies to integrate assets into the game engine.Manage time effectively to meet deadlines and contribute to team objectives.
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in 3D modeling and texturing, with a portfolio demonstrating a strong understanding of artistic fundamentals.Proficient in 3D software (e.g., Maya or 3ds Max), ZBrush, and texturing tools (e.g., Substance Painter or Photoshop).Familiarity with a game engine such as Unreal Engine 4/5.Knowledge of asset optimization challenges/techniques for real-time game engines.Strong sense of scale, form, weight, and volume in 3D space.Effective communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively in a team setting.A passion for games and a desire to contribute to the creative process of game development.
