Position Title: CFD Engineer Specialist
Key Responsibilities:
CFD Analysis Document Production: Oversee the comprehensive process of CFD analysis documentation from the beginning to validation, utilizing data center specific tools such as 6Sigma or equivalents (TileFlow, CoolSim, Autodesk CFD, etc.).
Pre-Simulation Activities: Collaborate with design teams to clarify simulation prerequisites, gather essential data, and set initial conditions for simulations.
Simulation & Validation Activities: Operate within the CFD team, maintain robust ties with design and project management units, engage directly with clients on technical simulation specifics, and validate CFD results.
Requirements
Requirements:
Solid knowledge of fluid mechanics principles including boundary layers, laminar flows, and basic heat transfer.
Proficiency in CFD software tools, especially 6Sigma or its equivalents.
Familiarity with core numerical methods in CFD like finite volume and element methods.
Awareness of primary turbulence models and their applications.
Skilled in using CFD software for simulations and reviewing drawings with AutoCAD/Revit. Proficiency in MS Office Suite is essential.
Ability to work on fluid dynamics for CFD simulations, interpret results, and communicate both in writing and verbally.
Minimum of seven years of industry related experience
Bachelor's degree can substitute for two years of experience
Physical Demands:
Handling of technical tools and equipment, maintaining a stationary position for extended periods, and traversing various site environments, including navigating stairs and ladders
Travel/Relocation:
Low travel to any of the 50 US states
