The U.S. Global Procurement organization consists of the following functions:
IT Category Management
Corporate Services Category Management – Professional Services, Human Resources, Marketing and Print & Promotional
Corporate Services Category Management – Business & Advisory Consulting, Real Estate & Office Services and Treasury & Banking Services

The Role :
The Category Management Consultantresides within the Corporate Services Category Management – Professional Services, Human Resources, Marketing and Print & Promotional vertical within the Global Procurement organization and is responsible for partnering with team members in support of category strategy development and execution for a grouping of indirect procurement categories. The Category Management Consultant will gather, analyze, and research internal business inputs and external market intelligence to inform the direction from a category perspective. The Category Management Consultant will also have responsibility for partnering with team member and stakeholders to execute high value category transformation initiatives in accordance with the Category Strategy.

Reports to : Director, Category Management
Team : 2 – 4 Category Management associates
Key Stakeholders : LOB and Functional Partners, Strategic Sourcing, Global Procurement Leadership and Global Procurement Services Stakeholders
Key Responsibilities:
Apply the vision & strategy set by Category Management Leadership to daily activities
Analyze Source to Pay analytics, through PowerBI reporting, for the assigned grouping of indirect categories, to identify opportunities to positively impact the category
Research market intelligence to identify category intelligence, benchmarks, supplier landscape and best in class practices for inclusion in category strategies
Develop category expertise for the assigned grouping of indirect categories
Synthesize internal and external inputs into easily understood visuals, i.e., charts, graphs, presentations, etc.
Support the build-out ofFinancial models including pricing, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), Should Cost, etc.
Execute assigned category transformation initiatives as specified within the category strategy
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
BA/BS or equivalent degree required, preferred concentration in Supply Chain operations
3 - 5 yearsof experience in procurement, supply chain & operations or management consulting
Understanding of procurement, the Source to Pay process, and the role it plays within the Enterprise
Strong problem-solving capabilities and analytical skills – able to construct/execute financial analyses
Proficiency with procurement data, analysis and identifying insights within data
Quick study – able to gain a fact-based understanding of current supplier base, supplier economics and major trends in relevant markets
Effective written & oral communications and presentation skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Business Intelligence tools, i.e., Microsoft PowerBI
