  The Category Development Manager (CDM) - Adult and Feminine Care (Kotex®. Poise®. Depend®) reports to the Sr. Team Leader - Category Management and partners with their Sr. Customer Business Partner to drive Category, Dollar Share, Net Sales, and Contribution Growth within trade spending guidelines. The Sr. CDM interacts with many different disciplines, including Shopper Insights, Shopper Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain.

  The CDM is the primary contact with the customer regarding Assortment, sales trends, and strategy. The CDM is the lead in developing the Category Strategy Plan, which will drive the Strategies and Tactics necessary to grow the Category. Overall, the CDM provides Category Development expertise, in-depth analysis and shopper/consumer insights for the customer and the Kimberly-Clark sales team in order to make business building recommendations and deliver break through presentations. Promotion Analysis is a key element of the position as well.

  In this role:

  Deliver Net Sales, Category Share, and DPSM Objectives for assigned customer team and BU(s)Adhere to Trade objectives, trade promotion and dead net pricing guidelinesAchieve JBP goals that are mutually agreed upon with assigned customerTranslate BU/Category priorities into actionable strategies specific to the customer Utilize Shopper, Category, Financial, Supply Chain, Digital Commerce, and Marketing tools & resources to identify opportunities to improve plans. Lead the development of customer presentations to sell-in business plans working as needed with internal stakeholders.Collaborate with the customer to understand their goals and asks. Negotiate to help them achieve their goals while leveraging their asks to negotiate K-C needs and strategies.Submit customer contracts and other account specific documentation on a timely basisManage communication with key customer, agency, supply chain, and K-C contacts to address service issues and opportunitiesOwn the development and execution of gap closure plans if/when plans are not delivering business objectives

  Requirements:

  Bachelor's degree required3+ years of relevant CPG experienceExperience with syndicated data (Nielsen, IRI or JDA)Proficiency in the Microsoft Office SuiteAnalytical and problem-solving capabilitiesStrong time management and organizational skillsExcellent verbal and written communicationTravel may also include business travels via airplane to various locations.May include prolong periods of sitting, typing, viewing computer/laptop screensMinimum 2 days/week in-office

  Preferred Experience/Qualifications:

  Sales Analysis and/or Category Management experience preferred
