How will you make an impact?
The Category Analyst - Indirect Procurement provides consultative support to category and business teams with program assessment, critical metric analysis, data supported new value generation ideas, including key category insights driven by Market, business process, financial, group/divisional needs and spend to drive incremental procurement value across the corporation. This is a foundational role that will enable the right candidate to build a career trajectory into several areas of procurement, including category management and/or procurement business partnering through close working alignment with these teams. This role will drive indirect program growth, governance, and business integration.
This role reports to the Sr. Director, Indirect PMO leader and will support the global indirect procurement team with business process and program analytics supporting various strategic spend programs. This role will require strong procurement expertise to effectively structure and analyze complex data sets (Multi site, multi format, multi supplier, functional) in support of strategic initiatives and process changes required to ensure program compliance and value pull through.
Key Focus areas include development, coordination, organization of key insights to capture incremental indirect value. This will require tight partnership and coordination with the indirect category teams, procurement analytics team and procurement partners to acquire a solid understanding and subject matter expertise on all key data requirements. It will also require forward-looking thinking to identify and generate key insights on future potential based on spend / savings / market related data.

• Monitors operational supplier metrics to drive improvements to strategic programs and appropriately manage supplier relationships to increase value
For assigned category / and or programs - assesses key data needs, Perform data discovery, analysis and modeling in partnership with the Procurement analytics team, to support the development of program ROI to support target objectives. This role will also support the creation of implementation/resource plans to ensure projects contribute to the organizationRuns global category programs up to $100 M in spend typically that are driven at the "corporate" functional level that require multi region / multi source coordinationResponsible for the monthly Value Capture Key Process Indicator reporting process, monthly communication plan on initiatives impacting the global programsReports on key targets, projects, pipeline (with Group/Category visibility), and AOP financial targets, including adoption of a standard tool and processesCoordinates data sets from multiple sources, formats, and processes to synthesize and develop key program insights to drive ongoing program and category valueUses business partner inputs and knowledge of existing systems and constraints toDevelop standard reporting requirements, drive process improvements for indirect procurement across divisions, countries, sitesAnalyze process issues and bottlenecksIdentify automation opportunitiesSupports effective communication strategies and delivers executive-level presentations to propose key initiatives, provide critical implementation updates, operational line-of-sight, and demonstrates delivery of value within the organization
Technical Responsibilities
Writes clear and well-structured business requirements/documentsCollaborates with Sites to gather key sourcing /program requirements, gains sign-off on supplier selections operational proposals and awardsRationalizes and uses the vendor base on a category/program basis, measures and improves internal and external program "compliance" to the corporate contractsCoordinates and synthesizes data sets from multiple sources to develop programs/insights to deliver ongoing program and category valueTracks and monitors timely completion of project targets within the portfolio, plan vs. actual and report progress as requiredUses PPI business systems and processes to drive continuous improvement.

How will you get here?
Education
Bachelor's degree or higher in business analysis, business administration, finance or related fieldCertification in Project Management is desirable.
Experience
Demonstrated consulting experience in a multinational matrix-based procurement environment, driving program analytics, program management and execution for strategic procurement initiativesDemonstrated program management experience in a matrix-based procurement environment, driving program analytics, program management and execution for strategic procurement initiatives3+ years of procurement/category management, commodity sourcing, indirect project sourcing or purchasing and commercial management1-3+ years' experience of negotiation skills and formulating the business requirements for a commercial trade contract1-3+ years of Business Analyst experience including cost assessments/ low cost sourcing , Return on Investment development, supplier performance delivery
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Robust project management skills and capabilities -strong proficiency in MS-Office tools (specifically, MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint - Gantt charts, dashboards, key deliverables, business case and baseline development)Shown experience in eliciting requirements and testingConsistent track record and experience in analyzing data to draw business-relevant conclusions and in data visualization techniques and toolsStrong written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skillsExceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills - Proactive / results orientedAble to lead change effectively and frequently - Strong ability to effectively communicate with and present to Senior Leadership Strong financial competence - Demonstrated ability to make recommendations on and deliver assigned projects.Ability to lead matrix project teams of peers and other partners and navigate within a matrix environment.Multi-tasking skills and planning for prioritizing personal workload.Ability to travel between 10-30% on an annual basis.Demonstrated success in developing and fostering relationships with suppliers while driving lower costs, superior performance, and continuous improvement.
