Carpenter at Ralph L. Wadsworth Construction Company, LLCStart Date: April 1, 2025End Date: November 30, 2025Primary Worksite: 375 US Hwy. 89 S, Ste. F, Gardiner, Montana 84020Ralph L. Wadsworth Construction Company, located in Draper, Utah, seeks Five (5) full-time, temporary Carpenters Level 1.Duties: Works with other, more experienced carpenters to perform general carpentry work, building rough wooden structures such as concrete forms, scaffolds, tunnel and sewer supports, and temporary frame shelters. Specific duties include: pour and screed concrete to grade and straight edged; erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level; hang ledgers, overhang brackets, and decking with either plywood or steel forms; tying rebar; forming slabs, columns and walls for concrete pours; lay out footings, walls, boxes, dowels, etc.; form using the Aluminum Gang Form, Simons, EFCO, and Stick Frame Wood Forms forming systems; and other related duties as assigned.Requirements: [No education required.] 6 months experience required. In lieu of the 6 months of experience as a carpenter or related occupation, employer would accept either an associate's degree (or equivalent) or a suitable combination of education, training, and experience that it deems to be equivalent to 6 months of experience as a carpenter or related occupation. Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds. Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.Travel is required to client worksites located throughout Yellowstone National Park, and Yellowstone County.Daily transportation is provided from employer-provided housing to intended worksites.On-the-job training is provided.Wage: $25.43 per hour, paid every week (weekly). Overtime is available at $38.15Schedule: Up to 60 hours per week (Monday - Saturday); normal schedule 7 am to 5 pmA single workweek will be used to compute wages due.All deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law will be made. Workers can elect to have employer secure housing if needed, in which case the worker’s pro rata share of the actual housing costs (rent, utilities, and renter’s insurance), which will be reasonable and based on the fair value of such benefit, will be deducted from the worker’s paycheck (if authorized by the worker). Current monthly housing cost per worker is approximately $500, including the pro rata share of rent, utilities, and renter’s insurance. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will pay directly for and/or reimburse workers for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The employer will pay directly for and/or reimburse workers for all reasonable inbound transportation and subsistence costs within the first workweek. The employer will pay directly for and/or reimburse workers for all reasonable outbound transportation and subsistence costs during the last workweek. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided from a minimum rate of $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period.The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by government (excluding passport fees).Qualified U.S. applicants may inquire or send applications, indications of availability, and/or resumes directly to Montana Department of Labor and Industry at 2121 Rosebud Dr., Ste.
