PAY RANGE
The Target Pay Range for this position is $24.90-$30.38 hourly. The full Pay Range is $20.19-$35.96 hourly. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

IMPACT YOU’LL MAKE :
As a Card Services Specialist, you will play a crucial role in handling adjustments and member inquiries related to Credit and Debit card issues and transactions. Your expertise will have a direct impact on providing exceptional member service and ensuring regulatory compliance. You will use your knowledge to support members and staff while maintaining the security of card plastics and ensuring accurate records of all cards within the Card Services department.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Utilize your expertise: Handle adjustments and member inquiries in alignment with BECU Competencies, compliance, regulatory, and Information Protection requirements.
Provide proactive support: Assist in resolving daily problems, including member situations, department responsibilities, and other questions with a member-centric approach.
Ensure regulatory compliance: Process member inquiries professionally, within regulatory compliance standards. Understand and ensure processes, procedures, and exceptions remain within appropriate guidelines and regulations.
Process and maintain accounts: Handle adjustments and chargebacks initiated by BECU, as well as those initiated by other financial institutions and merchants.
Coordinate with Accounting: Research items and coordinate with Accounting for the timely clearing of items in the general ledger suspense accounts.
Stay knowledgeable: Maintain thorough knowledge of all vendors, systems, processes used in the Card Services department, and operating rules and regulations associated with all network gateways BECU participates in.
Product knowledge: Maintain thorough knowledge of all card products and services offered by BECU. Ensure the security of all card plastics and keep accurate records of all cards within the Card Services department.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate degree or equivalent related work experience.
Minimum two years of experience in Operations function at a Financial Institution.
Proficient verbal and written skills to effectively communicate in the English language.
Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks accurately and efficiently.
Desired Qualifications:
College level accounting classes preferred.
Experience working in the Credit Card Services field, including Debit and Credit card regulations and transactions.
Ability to handle large volumes and work well under deadlines.
