As a Managing Director within PNC's Capital Markets organization, you will be based in San Francisco, Orange County, Los Angeles, CA or Denver, CO .
This position is primarily based in a location within PNC's footprint.
PNC's Financial Institutions Group (FIG) covering banks and depositories in the Capital Markets line of business is seeking a seasoned professional to develop business and to build lasting relationships with financial institutions headquartered in the West Coast. Relationship Managers (RMs) are the front-line of our business development efforts and primarily responsible to originate new business through new client acquisitions and to manage and develop a portfolio of clients in the assigned geography.
The role requires calling on and developing relationships with C-suite executives, lines of business heads, board members and advisors of community banks, regional banks, and depository financial institutions in order to identify opportunities and to position products provided through the FIG platform: investment banking advisory solutions, capital markets products, credit products, and private-label treasury management.
The successful candidate possesses effective prospecting and originations skills and has the ability to consistently engage clients and prospects with confident, thoughtful conversations that project breadth and depth of knowledge of the banking sector and regulations, balance sheet management, investment management, bank corporate strategy, and the products and solutions delivered through the FIG platform.
Licenses: FINRA series 7,63 and 79 licenses, or must acquire licenses within 120 days.
Job Description
Responsible for a team sales professionals to drive sales activities and strategies for a specific product(s) or transaction(s) and managing and developing select client relationships. Provides superior client experience. Ensures compliance with risk and regulatory requirements. May assist Senior Leadership with the strategic planning for the group.Partners with sales team, relationship managers, investment bankers, traders and other internal service partners to develop, market and deliver complex capital markets solutions to our clients.Provides appropriate solutions based on in-depth assessment of client objectives and market conditions. Develops and maintains client and/or investor relationships. Allocates client coverage to optimize alignment.Coordinates the execution of sales and marketing strategies including new product development, structuring, and distribution, to maximize sales and new business activity.Continually develops knowledge of industry and market developments, deal flow and regulatory requirements. Enforces compliance with policies and regulations. Provides coaching and leadership to develop the line of business.

Work Experience
Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree. Higher level education such as a Masters degree, or PhD is desirable. Industry experience is typically 8 + years. Specific certifications are often required. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.

COMPENSATION
Base Salary: $100,000 - $225,000
Placement within the compensation range is based on the specific role and the following factors:
Individual salary may vary by geographic location / market data
Lower in range - Building skills and experience in the job
Mid-range - Experience and skills align with proficiency in the role
Higher in range - Experience and skills add value above typical requirements of the role
