　　California Connections Academy is a network of tuition-free public online schools for students in grades K–12. The network of schools is operated by the nonprofit California Online Public Schools and currently includes six schools serving students in 32 counties in California. California Connections Academy schools are accredited by the Schools Commission of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).

　　Position Overview

　　California Connections Academy, a network of WASC accredited, tuition-free public online schools for grades K–12, is seeking a highly qualified and California Certified School Counselor to fill the role of a High School Counselor. This position involves adapting to various grade levels and responsibilities while providing support in a virtual environment.

　　Position Responsibilities

　　Will require covering employee leave of absences in a variety of capacities and on-demand.

　　Provide behavioral and academic support for students as requested by employees going on leave.

　　Manage instructional programs virtually, engaging in synchronous and asynchronous counseling sessions.

　　Maintain timely communication with parents, students and academic staff.

　　Collaborate with departments to review data and develop strategies for student support.

　　Participate in the organization and administration of state testing, as directed.

　　Other tasks/projects will be assigned while not actively covering for a counselor on leave.

　　Requirements

　　California Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential in School Counseling

　　Strong technology skills, especially in Microsoft OS, MS Office and Google Suite Programs.

　　Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

　　Strong organizational skills, adaptable to a fast-paced, ever evolving environment.

　　Ability to work independently and remotely with minimal supervision.

　　Will have to travel on occasion for in-person events.

　　Flexible attitude and ability to adapt to new roles and responsibilities.

　　Capacity to work extended hours at a computer, demonstrating sustained focus and productivity.
