PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking a CAD Designer/Drafter, in Sylmar, CA.
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled CAD Drafter/Designer with a minimum of 3 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in CAD Drafting, with extensive experience in AutoCAD and a strong understanding of electromechanical systems. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, a thorough understanding of ASME Y14 standards, and familiarity with AS9100 aerospace quality management systems.
Responsibilities:
Create detailed CAD designs and technical drawings for aerospace products, adhering to project specifications and requirements.
Collaborate with engineering teams to develop innovative solutions and optimize design performance.
Ensure designs comply with ASME Y14 standards and AS9100 quality management requirements.
Conduct design reviews and provide feedback to improve overall design quality and efficiency.
Generate accurate technical drawings, schematics, and documentation for manufacturing and assembly processes.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to support product development from concept to production.
Participate in project meetings, providing updates on design progress and addressing any technical challenges.
Stay informed about industry trends, advancements in CAD technology, and regulatory requirements relevant to aerospace design.
Incorporate changes, As Built as per redline markup.
Assist designers in the preparation of submittal packages and project documentation.
Assist in the preparation of material lists, specifications, and documentation for project.
Develop skills over time and work towards becoming a specialized designer.
Qualifications:
Associates degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Drafting Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in CAD design and drafting.
Highly proficient in AutoCAD, with a minimum of 6000 hours of hands-on experience.
Strong knowledge of ASME Y14 standards
Knowledge of AS9100 quality management systems preferred.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, and Document management portals.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
3+ years Design/Support
3+ years Proficiency in AUTO CAD-High proficiency (Need reject)
Min of 6000 hours of experience with AUTO CAD Work Experience only, no interns include
Mins associate in mechanical, Drafting Technology
Detail CAD Development
3+ years of ASME Y14 standards required.
Desired familiarity with AS9100 aerospace quality management systems
Education / Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.).
