The Big Picture:
To undertake automated draughting development activities (3D modelling and 2D drawing production) relating to Howden products, primarily centrifugal fans.
To give required automated draughting support to sales/proposals, operations and after-sales areas of the business and to actively support an ongoing continuous improvement and safety culture.
What needs to be done?
Develop models and drawings for an automated design drawing system for innovative technical solutions within agreed timeframes that adhere to Howden standards and can be used to accelerate customer projects.
Manage links with Howden selection software to populate automated design parameters.
Communicate with design engineers and manufacturing to ensure all aspects of design and manufacture are addressed and automated.
Provide automated draughting support to design engineers and other project team functional disciplines to ensure maximum uptake of the automated drawing system.
Communicate any identified technical issues to appropriate project manager/engineering software developer and offer practical solutions where available.
Plan and organize workload in conjunction with project management to ensure timely availability of automated drawings releases/functionality.
Evaluate elements of sub-vendor design drawings/data to assist 3rd party component parameterisation.
Support enabled value targets by optimising efficiencies through reduction of costs and improvement of quality and delivery of project drawings.
