Job Description

　　We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Data Access team responsible for the data stores and search engine. The engineering team is going through an exciting phase moving from Data at Rest to Data in Motion using event-driven architecture (EDA) and NoSql storage technologies. This role is focused on REST API exposure of the data and search capabilities. The ideal candidate should be willing to push the limits and be an integral part of rebuilding our data publishing platform using the latest cloud-based technologies. This is a key role to the design and implementation of the platform which will ensure data interoperability for both internal and external consumers. This person will help pave the way to revolutionize the teams entity database, expanding its capabilities to enable near real-time updates for 450 million entities.

　　To be successful in this role, you must have hands on experience with primarily C# .NET Core in addition to a strong focus on designing, mocking, and implementing REST APIs (Java is a plus). As a REST API Specialist, you will play a crucial role in defining REST API contracts, creating mock implementations, and building efficient and scalable APIs to expose data and search capabilities. Your expertise in C# .NET Core, Java, and RESTful web services will be essential in delivering high-quality software solutions. In essence, as a Senior Software Engineer you will contribute significantly to architecture, agile development, mentorship, operational excellence, and continuous skill growth, all while maintaining high coding standards and effective collaboration. We value hands-on experience in our primary technologies (MongoDB, Java, and C#), but we also appreciate adaptability and a willingness to learn, as our tech environment is continuously evolving. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:

　　- Key contributor to solution architecture.

　　- Design and develop scalable cloud-native solutions in an agile team.

　　- Provide mentorship to junior engineers.

　　- Proactively expand expertise to address emerging needs.

　　- Author and maintain technical design documents.

　　- Define and maintain coding standards for the team.

　　- Work with QA engineers to address defects.

　　Skills and Requirements

　　-5+ years working as a Senior Software Engineer with a strong focus on developing RESTful APIs

　　-Proficiency with C# .NET Core and Java

　　-Understanding of RESTful architectural principles

　　-Experience with API documentation tools (e.g., Swagger/OpenAPI)

　　-Knowledge of search engines or indexing technologies (e.g., Elasticsearch, Solr).

　　-Understanding of microservices architecture and related concepts

　　-Proficient in both relational (SQL, Oracle) and non-relational databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, Neo4j, DynamoDB).

　　-Provide mentorship to junior engineers

　　-Minimum bachelor's degree in computer science or related field -Knowledge or experience with Apache Kafka and Apache Flink and its ecosystem would be highly desirable.

　　-Experience in unit testing practices and familiarity with DevOps tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, or similar

　　-Proven experience with cloud technologies like AWS, Azure, or GCP.

　　-Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. null
