Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Negotiation:
Collaborate with Project Managers, strategically ensuring project schedules are met.
Drive negotiations for favorable terms, prices, delivery, and shipping with vendors.
Project-Centric Procurement:
Navigate through the intricacies of purchasing assigned intercompany supplies for various dynamic projects.
Streamline vendor returns efficiently, maintaining a commitment to timely processes.
Cultivate relationships with plant teams, ensuring detailed delivery performance.
Collaborate with plants to compile comprehensive project documentation for customer approval.
Effective Communication:
Be the linchpin between the order entry team, ensuring timely purchasing practices.
Foster collaboration with accounts payable, swiftly resolving any invoice disputes.
Work closely with project managers and order entry analysts, ensuring all vital information is seamlessly communicated to the factory for processing intercompany purchase orders.
Qualifications That Set You Apart:
Bachelor’s degree in Business/Logistics and/or Engineering (industrial, chemical, etc.).
Solid collegiate studies in engineering, reflecting a dedication to continuous learning.
4-5 years of purchasing expertise for external candidates, 2-4 years for internal candidates.
Preferably, 1-2 years of experience working (directly or indirectly) with projects.
A flair for languages: Proficiency in English (80% required) and Portuguese (50% preferred).
Your Experience Matters:
Over 2 years of hands-on experience in processes and systems for purchasing, materials, inventory, stockroom, and warehouse – preferably within the dynamic automotive industry.
Showcase your organizational prowess, coupled with a deep understanding of sourcing and the ability to foster and maintain vendor relationships.
Leverage your ability to interpret and apply data for addressing purchasing needs and efficiently managing inventory.
Tech Savvy and Adaptable:
Navigate seamlessly through Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Plex, and other innovative business software.
Your adaptability shines as you handle multiple tasks simultaneously, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
Independence and initiative drive you, making you adept at working under minimal direction.
Stand Out:
Active certifications and participation in esteemed Supply Chain Management Professional Organizations (such as the Institute for Supply Management) are highly desirable.Technical Proficiency:
