About the Role
Uber's Revenue Platform is a near real-time financial product that translates billions of transactions into compliant financial accounting transactions. As a Business System Analyst in Finance Tech, you will be responsible to build and deliver value by automating business processes and supporting our explosive business growth. The main responsibility of this position is to partner directly with our Finance, IT and Payment Operations teams to onboard new business partners and drive improvements related to Order to Cash business processes.
In this challenging role, you will join the front lines of a collaborative, multifaceted and fast paced Finance and Business Operations team, crafting and codifying our business processes into enterprise systems. This role offers the opportunity for a curious and collaborative Business Systems Analyst to increase transparency and efficiency of end-to-end business processes. This position will be trusted to translate cross-functional business requirements into system design, allowing for data driven strategy and insights.
What You'll Do
Work with a cross-functional team to build financial systems supporting and automating the order to cash lifecycleIdentify business-driven needsProduce concise yet effective business requirementsIdentify gaps and recommend action plans and prioritizationReview existing processes and lead the creation of requirement user stories to engage with IT and build the solutionUAT Support and post production supportSupport month-end close processProvide consulting services to the internal collaborators, offer expert level understanding of revenue and settlements systems configuration.Manage system improvement and modification to meet business needs within the core revenue and settlements systems
What You'll Need
Minimum 8+ years of business analysis experience working with financial systemsAbility to translate analysis results into business recommendations.Ability to articulate business questions, pulling from large datasets (SQL) and using accounting and mathematical expertise to recommend solutions.Excellent written and verbal communication, problem-solving skills with excellent business judgment.Grittiness; You never hesitate to roll up your sleeves and tackle something hands-on, you persevere when others fall away.A track record of driving challenging and complex programs/projects to closureIn depth understanding of large company's accounting monthly close process and financial controlsCollaboration and leadership skills.Good understanding of accounting, reporting and collection processes.Ability to interact with finance business partners in business terms, drive the adoption of industry standard processes, generate new insights and translate them for technical teams.Proficiency in Excel
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$146,000 per year - USD$162,000 per year.
