Our 10-week paid internship program has been developed to provide students with hands-on experience to learn more about the Healthcare industry and the impact to human and animal health. This internship program will provide you with professional development, networking and volunteer opportunities. As a Business Solutions Analyst Intern, your primary role will be to assist the Business Solutions team in analyzing and improving various aspects of the organization's operations. Your responsibilities may include:
Data Analysis: Collecting, organizing, and analyzing data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights. This may involve using tools such as Excel, SQL, or data visualization software.Process Improvement: Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify inefficiencies in current processes and propose solutions for improvement. This could involve conducting workflow analysis, creating process documentation, and recommending automation or optimization opportunities.Requirements Gathering: Assisting in gathering business requirements by conducting interviews with stakeholders, documenting user stories, and translating them into functional specifications for technical teams.Project Support: Supporting project managers in planning, executing, and monitoring projects related to business process improvements or system implementations. This may involve creating project documentation, tracking progress against milestones, and communicating updates to stakeholders.Reporting and Presentations: Creating reports and presentations that effectively communicate findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences. This includes visualizing data in a clear and concise manner.Research: Conducting research on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and market trends to support decision-making processes within the organization.Collaboration: Collaborating with team members across different departments to understand their needs, gather feedback on proposed solutions, and ensure alignment between business objectives and technology initiatives.Documentation: Documenting processes, procedures, workflows or any other relevant information that will help streamline operations within the organization.
Throughout your internship experience as a Business Solutions Analyst Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience working on real-world projects while also developing your analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, communication skills (both written and verbal), teamwork capabilities as well as your understanding of business processes within the organization.
What your background should look like
Currently enrolled in undergraduate school with an upcoming completion of a bachelor's degree in information systems, Information Technology, Software engineering or another related field.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.Good project management skillsStrong interpersonal, teamwork, and leadership skillsStrong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills to evaluate business problems and apply knowledge to identify appropriate solutions.Must be eager to learn, self-motivated, flexible, accountable and can effectively handle multiple tasks at one time.Excellent organizational and time-management skillsKnowledge of computers to operative effectively with PowerPoint presentations, Excel spreadsheets, and Microsoft Outlook

This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
