Overview
To serve as business operations analyst within the Payment Network Office overseeing services, billings and mandates for Navy Federal's credit card network partnerships (Visa, MasterCard, and American Express). Incumbent will work directly with network partners to ensure provided services support the strategic direction of our credit card portfolio and that billings are accurate for agreed-upon services. Candidate will also work to ensure Navy Federal's compliance with network mandates.
Responsibilities
Review invoices from network partners for accuracy and perform root cause analysis for unexplained variances identifiedEnsure invoices are processed and paid in a timely fashionMonitor services provided by network partners and ensure compliance with contractual terms as well as industry standardsIdentify trends from network invoices and provide recommendations for reducing service-related expensesAssist in the execution of Statements of Work (SOWs) for projects involving network partners and coordinating with Procurement & Vendor Management to ensure favorable termsAssist with Annual Financial Plan (AFP) forecasting for service-related expensesDevelop deep understanding of services offered by network partners to identify potential opportunities for growing Navy Federal's credit card portfolioMaintain documentation for payment network mandates and technical guidance released by payment networksWork with internal subject-matter experts to help facilitate Navy Federal compliance with network mandatesEnsure Navy Federal makes timely opt-out submissions or extension requests for mandates in accordance with network guidelinesTransform data sets and perform quantitative and qualitative analysis using visualization tools (e.g., Power BI)Champion process improvement as it pertains to our network relationships, identifying and implementing opportunities to optimize revenue and reduce costs, and streamline operational processesPrepare presentation materials (reports, briefings, etc.) for management to help inform business decisionsParticipate in complex interdepartmental initiatives of significant business risk & impactPerform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or the equivalent combination of training, education, and experienceSignificant experience in problem resolution including determining root cause, scope and scale of issuesAdvanced analytical thinking skills to include summarizing information and clearly identifying key elements, patterns, results or relationshipsExperience in the application of forecasting, cost-benefit analysis and related analytical toolsExperience in leading collaborative work teamsSignificant experience in working effectively with diverse internal and external contactsSignificant experience in managing multiple priorities independently and/or in a team environment to achieve goalsAdvanced skill in project management to include establishing and leading project teams; managing timelines/deadlines/resources; ensuring successful project implementationAdvanced knowledge of data querying, reporting, forecasting, analysis and operations research, including statistical methods and modelingAdvanced research, analytical, and problem solving skillsAdvanced organizational, planning and time management skillsAdvanced skill following, interpreting and applying relevant data/instructions to guidelines, procedures, practices and regulationsAdvanced skill interpreting and synthesizing large amounts of informationAdvanced verbal and written communication skillsAdvanced word processing and spreadsheet software skillsAdvanced database and presentation software skillsSignificant Experience working with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)Experience monitoring and processing invoices from vendors
