Amazon.in is looking for a seasoned Business Intelligence Engineer professional to join its expanding Analytics team within the Cross Category Channel Marketing - XCM (i.e. Brand and Mass marketing) team in Bangalore. The role will be responsible for closely partnering with Researchers, Data Engineers, Data scientists, Media and Brand Managers to build data transformations and provide actionable insights for our Marketing, Category and Business stakeholders. This is an exciting opportunity to work on very large datasets and influence consumer insighting and improving marketing efficiencies and effectiveness while impacting millions of customers on a daily basis.

We are looking for a motivated individual with strong technical / analytical skills and practical experience. We’re looking for someone who possesses a solid BI engineering background, familiar with maintaining large data sets, building the data needed for analyzing information, identifying key business insights, and working with stakeholders in generating the right metrics to measure success criteria. Being able to deal with ambiguity, anticipating bottlenecks and escalations, and setting realistic and ambitious expectations are all crucial to the success of our platform.
In this role, you will:
Analyze and extract relevant information from large, complicated data sets of structured and unstructured data to identify insights to influence marketing roadmap.
Design, develop and maintain scaled, automated, user-friendly systems, reports, dashboards, etc. that will support business teams.
Collaborate with research, brand and media teams to develop and track KPIs, automated reporting/process solutions and data infrastructure improvements to meet product team needs.
Serve as liaison between the product and technical teams to provide actionable insights and drive deep dive investigations into future improvements.
Drive data gathering and manipulation, synthesis and modeling, problem solving, and communication of insights and recommendations.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field
5+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
Experience writing complex SQL queries
Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
Ability to display complex quantitative data in a simple, intuitive format and to present findings in a clear and concise manner
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets
