Amazon is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Business Intelligence Engineer to help manage current supply chain and capacity planning tools while developing scalable planning solutions for the future.

The successful candidate will partner with cross functional teams to develop and analyze short term (1-13 week planning horizon) solutions for all Global Logistics operations which include, IXD's, Fulfillment Centers, CXD's etc.
The candidate will think holistically about input planning collection and output supply chain solutions to provide recommendations/modeling on short term term logistics capabilities. The leader will drive reduction in supply chain costs, while improving lead time and reliability. This person will help develop the vision, roadmaps and plans with partner teams to drive network goals and a cohesive customer focused based execution strategy.
Strong candidates will have a background in Global logistics and fulfillment operations along with data modeling and technology solutions that can navigate the shifting requirements of a complex supply chain network to deliver results.
This role requires the Business Intelligence Engineer to collaborate with multiple cross functional stakeholders (both internal and external) on aligning strategy that provides significant business impact. This person should show good judgement and foster a constructive dialogue, harmonize discordant views and build consensus across multiple teams independently.
The candidate should be able to communicate ideas effectively, verbally and in writing. The successful candidate will be an expert at retrieve, managing and analyzing data using Excel, Tableau, SQL or other data management systems.
Key job responsibilities
Performing data analysis/modeling using data in the 1-13 week range to analyze capacity gaps and work cross functionally with partner teams on recommendations to solve.
Responsible for providing visibility to program status (issues, risks, metrics, etc.) on an ongoing basis to leadership, all stakeholders and team members.
Maintain a global scope in building mechanisms and projects partnering with leaders in both US, CN and EU regions, thereby sharing best practices and standardization.
Comfortable with ambiguities, conflicting priorities and multi-cultural and matrix environment.
Minimal travel will be required for this role as partner teams are placed globally. This travel is not expected to exceed 5-10%.

Basic Qualifications
3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $79,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
