Job Summary
The Partner Pursuit Manager (PPM) is assigned to one or multiple partners and executes the partner strategy in a defined country or region. The role is ultimately responsible for driving account alignment, opportunity engagement, incremental pipeline, and revenue in the defined territory.
Essential Functions
• Accountable for partnership in defined territory within NetApp
• Development and execution of Area Joint Business Plan aligned with the Global joint business plan
• Build relationships with partner account; sales, solutioning and marketing teams in defined territory
• Build influential relationships with sales, marketing and technical teams in defined territory
• Acquire new business in defined territory, by creating new-business plans with their partners
• Proactively, grow and defend existing installed base
• Build, manage and forecast pipeline in defined territory
• Drive and coordinate account team connections and cadence
• Drive partner agenda in local NetApp account and district planning sessions
• Oversee account team engagement and opportunity pursuits to ensure a successful outcome
• Organize account team, technical, and marketing awareness/activation efforts
• Ensure ecosystem alignment by account
• Advocate for partner with NetApp teams in defined territory
• Utilize account intelligence for defined territory to develop actionable sales plans
Job Requirements
• Proven enterprise strategic sales methodology
• Ability to effectively interface and communicate at all levels within Partner's organization to include
executive levels
• Negotiate and resolve complex situations/opportunities to a positive outcome without damaging internal or external relationships
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Demonstrable understanding of the industry ecosystem to include partner business models, competitive landscape, and industry trends
• In-depth knowledge of Cloud technologies and business models
