  Business Development Manager, Data Marketplace

LiveRamp is the leading data connectivity platform. We believe connected data has the power to change the world, and we aspire to make it safe and easy for companies to use data effectively. This all starts with our brilliant people. Those who want to make a lasting impact in all that they do will find a home at LiveRamp—an inclusive, collaborative environment where exceptional talent is nurtured, championed, and where people matter most.

You are a customer-focused, data-driven rockstar. You’ve spent 3-5+ years in front of clients and partners, and have excellent commercial/sales instincts. Successful candidate profiles may include individuals with a background in data and/or marketing strategy. Ideally experience in supporting 3rd party data (3PD) targeting, analytics, measurement, media selling, planning, or buying. Candidate has a knack for how the online world works and can creatively connect the dots from a consumer strategy through conversion. This role requires cross-functional skills, plus client-facing polish.

  You will:

Contribute to revenue acceleration for a $100M+ business line

First and foremost support daily third-party data (3PD) matching of buyers and sellers

Develop strategies to drive agency demand for our Advertiser Direct offering, which enables customers to use 3PD to improve targeting performance on paid social (Facebook, etc)

Own inbound requests from Data Marketplace customers: agencies (primarily), platforms and brands interested in 3PD use on paid social and programmatic

Generate proactive outbound ideas for current and potential agencies (based on benchmark analysis, industry trends, sales team needs, gaps in strategy)

Take a consultative approach to help the world’s most sophisticated marketers be successful with Data Marketplace (including, but not limited to: pitch calls, new buyer kick-offs, strategy sessions, sales team trainings, demos, client business reviews)

Drive scalable adoption of sales enablement materials (e.g. priorities, processes, playbooks) to train and equip vertical sales and account teams to be more effective and customer-first

Lend thought leadership across the Data Marketplace ecosystem: analyzing emerging trends, developing new strategies, crafting thoughtful execution, sharing best practices with internal and external stakeholders to expand GMV/LiveRamp revenue

Contribute to the broader Data Marketplace team

Contribute to product vision and prioritization by building relationships with key stakeholders

Identify/address marketplace friction points through cross-functional teams & projects

Increase business intelligence capability to support better data-driven decision making

Contribute a positive, solutions-oriented approach to a team with a reputation for both!

  Your team will:

LiveRamp’s Data Marketplace connects the world’s most sophisticated data buyers to trusted, people-based data sources to power every marketing use case. Brand, agency, and programmatic partners rely on 3rd party data (3PD) to improve advertiser ROAS and develop their own unique solutions. LiveRamp helps these partners adopt and scale their 3PD strategies, and this role within Data Marketplace oversees a key LiveRamp initiative–namely, paid social for leading agencies.

You will help refine and scale our existing 3PD agency strategy, create and market new data buying innovations, and help our commercial sales team better sell and service Data Marketplace products.

  About you:

Have a bachelor's degree or experience in lieu of a degree

3-5+ years work experience across business development, sales roles, account management, customer service, media planning or buying, data strategy, and/or paid social advertising

  Experience with the advertising ecosystem

Demonstrated excellence in your personal and professional endeavors

Excellent interpersonal communication (verbal and written); our success relies on balancing multiple interests to increase value for all marketplace participants

Self-motivation and strong attention to detail (details matter a lot!)

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment

Can apply creativity and passion to data

Have a multiplier mentality that seeks to significantly improve the business’ potential, while putting yourself in the shoes of those implementing your strategies

Enthusiasm for evaluating complex situations; a rare ability to anticipate possible outcomes, understand their implications and improve decision-making processes

Strong project management skills; whether launching or optimizing, you consistently manage and deliver against timelines and expectations to mitigate key risks

Accountability to deliver on team and individual goals, especially in a fast-changing industry seeking consensus on key norms (e.g. privacy, flexibility, performance)

Track record of delivering scalable solutions in a rapidly-evolving organization. We’re a nimble team, responsible to make a key LiveRamp growth engine grow faster

  Bonus Points:

Familiarity with 3PD or customer data platforms

Solid technical understanding of martech/adtech ecosystem (especially data or identity)

Worked at/with an agency or at/with a paid social platform
