　　POSITION SUMMARY:

　　This is a senior sales position that requires that incumbent to secure new business opportunities for World Courier, while maintaining and developing relationships with existing clients.

　　PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

　　Establish sales and retention budgets in conjunction with the Sales Manager/General ManagerProactively identity and pursue sales leadsNegotiate contract terms in consultation with the Sales Manager/General ManagerClose salesAchieve budgetsTo establish and implement marketing plan/initiative to increase profitable revenue generationDevelop a comprehensive knowledge of all World Courier servicesResearch and develop comprehensive industry knowledge with the market for World Courier i.e BiopharmReport competitor activities to the Sales Manager/General ManagerDevelop business plans for targeted businessInvestigate and resolve customer problemsDevelop a systematic and ongoing communications program with existing and prospective customersMaintain an account management database to document, monitor and support each customer relationshipPrepare and submit weekly sales figures, call reports and other records as requested to the Sales Manager/General ManagerParticipate in (occasional) out-of-hours promotional networking activitiesLiaise proactively and effectively with back-office/support staff to ensure a high standard of customer serviceAvoid exposing the company to unnecessary credit riskParticipate in the enforcement of credit termsCross-sell other World Courier servicesOther duties as reasonably directed by the Sales Manager/General Manager

　　What your background should look like

　　EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

　　A graduate degree in a relevant discipline preferredPosition requires at least 5+ years of experience in delivering high-quality, relevant selling servicesSales experience, general sales expertise and account-based sales experience preferredAbility to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, for the purpose of preparing proposals, reports and customer presentations

　　MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

　　Strong interpersonal skillsAbility to develop and maintain productive, cooperative and interdependent working and business relationshipsStrong presentation skillsStrong analytic skillsStrong creativity skills; with particular emphasis on creative problem solvingExperience selling to or working with personnel in pharmaceutical or the medical logistics industry is also preferredDemonstrated proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and other software programs and tools necessary to operate effectively with company systems and programs
