Our Team & Opportunity
To lead a variety of small-medium scale initiatives within the Vanguard Super Operations team, supporting analysis and delivery of internal and vendor solution implementation, post implementation support and maintenance.
Duties & Responsibilities
Lead the business analysis effort in support of cross-functional initiatives ensuring the result meets the requirements
Ensure user requirements are clearly understood and defined by facilitating requirement gathering workshops when needed. Develop and document business process maps, and recommends solutions to improve business process effectiveness and efficiencies
Contributes to project planning, coordination, and delivery; work with relevant stakeholders to determine the scope, requirements, and solutions for assigned initiatives and ensures integration with other program work streams and enterprise project teams
Meet established project milestones, goals and objectives within established time frames by utilising a disciplined approach to delivering within budget and timelines, assists team with the identification, evaluation, and resolution of potential obstacles which may have an impact on the completion of the project
Manage transition issues when new enhancements, changes, or products are introduced and provides additional support to users where necessary. Understand change management and anticipates the types of issues that may arise during such transitions, and takes steps to proactively resolve those issues
Strong understanding of superannuation operations and regulatory requirements, and identifies issues and risks associated with the delivery and provides technical support for project implementation
Act as a champion to the structured project management approach to encourage strong practices around the organisation. Supports delivery and execution of the testing strategy and plans. Produces and maintains user documentation and/or process maps and conducts training of users (including producing and maintaining training materials)
Participate in special projects and performs other duties as required.
What are we looking for
5+ years' superannuation industry experience required, including 3 years' senior business analysis experience
Experience in delivery of superannuation operational processes, member correspondence, contact centre and/or management reporting within superannuation (accumulation, insurance and pension products), with the ability to translate requirements and past superannuation implementation experience (perhaps gained through a new product or system implementation, SFT or change of administrator)
Ability to work under tight time constraints. Ability to work independently and perform effectively in a team environment
Excellent stakeholder engagement
Strong verbal and written communications skills, interpersonal skills and professional presence.
Strong Microsoft Office, Visio and PowerPoint capability
Ability to deal with ambiguity and rapid change. Proven experience of working in flexible and ever-changing environment
Professional attitude and confidence to work with senior management level
Specialisation that will make an impact
We are hiring for multiple roles and superannuation fund finance experience with a CA or CPA would be highly regarded
