The Business Tech Analyst, as part of the Sales Technology Team, will provide ongoing support & expertise for the CPQ (Configure Price Quote) application, Salesforce, and other Sales Tools. They will work with business partners, as the CPQ and Salesforce expert, to develop business requirements and recommend strategies to satisfy business needs.
This individual will partner with Alight resources to develop, configure and test solutions. The Business Tech Analyst is responsible for adhering to consistent processes & recommending process improvements.
There are 2 key result areas:
Improve Quality and Quantity of CPQ team deliverables. This individual will work with other internal teams and systems to determine dependencies and impacts across different systems and practices.Manage projects and initiatives related to Salesforce and Salesforce related applications.
Key responsibilities include:
Subject Matter Expert
Provide day-to-day CPQ and Salesforce support, troubleshooting & consultation with business partners.Work with global Alight & Third-party vendor teams to drive best practice solutions that support business needs.Understand business needs and recommend product enhancements to influence product roadmap.Educate business partners & other stakeholders on solution functionality.Recommend improvements to business processes to raise efficiency and effectiveness.
Release Management
Work with global peers to identify, drive & adhere to technical & configuration standards.Participate in change intake & prioritization forums; identify potential impacts to existing functionality or in-flight changes.Translate business needs into design specifications and test plans for system change requests.Perform gap analysis and impact analysis on requested changes.Manage release cycle activities, prioritize development work and participate in system testing.Act as a resource to other team members: clarify requirements, assess design alternatives, review test scripts and defect reports, manage requirement changes, and escalate issues.Inform, develop, and recommend strategy to senior management based on an evaluation of business needs.Communicate updates and plans with internal colleagues, external contacts, and senior management.Create and update relevant system documentation on knowledge sharing platforms.Analyze and recommend actions based on the results of operational metrics and relevant measure tracking.
Development & Testing
Design and Develop solutions (configuration or code)Test solutions (Regression Testing, QA testing, UAT Testing)
Vendor Management
Participate in vendor performance measurement, evaluation process as an SME.
Project & Team Management
Well versed with Agile delivery process and lead the agile ceremonies.Own JIRA platform and perform various JIRA housekeeping activities like defining releases, ensuring JIRA reflects true status of activities etc.Help manage the team's capacity using capacity planning tools.
Requirements:
Salesforce and/or Configure Price Quote experience required
