The Business Analyst, Procurement is a member of the Digital IT Business Solutions Corporate organization and is accountable to the Procurement Organization and various support organizations for enablement of business value and performance of IT services. Primary accountabilities relate to Procurement IT projects and operational requests enabling key Procure to Pay processes. The position also provides guidance to the Procurement customers and represents needs on various IT initiatives while being accountable to the business for advocacy of IT policies, strategies, processes, and practices. This Business Analyst role provides a fantastic opportunity for building relationships and networking across various businesses and IT organizations.
Responsibilities May Include:
Guide the Procurement function through Project and Software Management processes
Assist in defining project scope, goals, deliverables, value statements, IT project task, IT resource requirements, IT Support models
Facilitate creating visual representations of processes, data flows, and architectural hierarchy system documents
Partner with Procurement business to identify process improvements and enhancement to business systems
Driving awareness and adherence to Phillips 66 and IT policies
As Procurement system’s Product Owner, facilitate relationships between the Procurement function business customer, IT Service Delivery teams and third-party software/vendors
Work with IT Service Delivery leads and resources to prioritize and implement solutions, and to manage the resulting solution change impact
Partner with Procurement and Service Delivery leads to manage vendor relationships, software lifecycles, negotiations, and long-term strategies
Partner with Procurement business to develop strategy roadmaps and identifying process improvements
Assist IT Long Range Plan (LRP) by translating business needs into IT requirements and opportunities
Required Qualifications:
Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
Bachelor's degree
5 or more years of experience demonstrating analytical and problem-solving skills
5 or more years of direct experience working with IT Service Delivery teams and software vendors
Proficient with Microsoft Office tools
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, or related Information Technology field
Experience in an IT Business Analyst or similar role
Demonstrated ability to think strategically in both IT and business
Strong competency in Innovation and Continuous Improvement, User Experience Focus, Business Value Mindset, and Analytical Problem Solver
Past Procurement application experience: SAP, Actian, Icertis, DocuSign, IBM MRO, etc.
Able to work independently, self-motivated with strong customer relationship skills
Demonstrated experience in project management methodology and tools
Demonstrated experience with business process management methodology and tools with proficiency in illustrating process flows, conveying work flows and streamlining processes
