Join us a Business Analyst (BA) to deliver analytics solutions for Amazon Payment Products.
Amazon Payment Products team creates and manages a global portfolio of products, including co-branded credit cards, installment financing, third party redemptions, and financial services marketplaces. Within this team we are looking for a BA specifically for supporting Japan Consumer Payments.
As a BA, you will be building complex business intelligence applications using a variety of analytics tools. You should have deep expertise in working with large complex datasets, writing complex SQLs, deriving insights from data, performance tuning, bringing data from disparate data stores, programmatically identifying patterns, developing visualizations and writing documents. You should have excellent business acumen and communication skills to be able to work with stakeholders to define business requirements and develop business metrics. You will provide guidance and support for Project Managers and Engineers on data-related interests and concerns.
From technology perspective, you will have opportunities to get exposure to the modern cloud-based data technologies. The team is empowered to select the right technology based on customer needs and you will have the full set of AWS services in your toolbox.
Key job responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Perform deep data analysis, document findings and insights, and communicate to business stakeholders.
Empower technical and non-technical internal customers to self-serve data pull and data analysis needs.
Be the expert on the data used and generated by the team's products. Act as Subject Matter Expert when it comes to data questions.
Work with Product Managers, Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Engineering to support their analytics requirements.
Design and implement data warehouse / business intelligence solutions. Take ownership of critical reports and dashboards.

Basic Qualifications
-6+ years of product, finance or a related analytical field experience
-Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics or related field
-Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
-Strong expertise with SQL
-Expertise with Excel
-Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders
-Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or QuickSight
Preferred Qualifications
-Masters degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics or related field
-Experience with at least one statistical programming language such as Python or R.
-Experience working with test/control methodology, time-series forecast, and/or machine learning techniques.
-Experience working with AWS big data technologies (e.g., EMR, Redshift, S3, Glue, Kinesis and Lambda)
