As a Business Analyst II for TOM Labor Planning, Long Term Planning, you will be responsible for supporting the labor planning for 400+ Fulfillment and Sortation Centers. This role will be responsible for partnering with multiple stakeholders to forecast the labor planning needs for TOM for peak and non-peak timeframes, as well as Operational Plan for the next 3 years. A critical part of this role is to develop stable models through Alteryx for the labor planning team and to be able to take the stabilized models to the next level from an automation standpoint. This role requires exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with Operations, Finance, Recruiting, and HR stakeholders in a high-pressure environment. You will manage a high-visibility program and partner with all levels of leadership to exercise sound judgment where clear guidelines may not exist.

Key job responsibilities
Lead strategic planning and forecasting for TOM labor needs
Build and improve Alteryx models for Long Term labor plan
Drive automation and optimization of labor scheduling
Lead the buiding and updating of Long Term Plan WBRs
Improve and update Long Term Plan dashboards
Have knowledge on yard and on road driving operations is a plus
Identify at risk sites for peak and non peak
Partner with teams across the business you support and beyond to source, allocate, and coordinate resources
Influence design and development of strategic processes
Manage and deliver results on complex projects across multiple organizations
Develop, implement, and govern KPI reporting for a portfolio of programs, providing visibility to the milestones, and performance across all projects
Engage other Amazon business units globally to share best practices and improve end to end outcomes for Amazon customers
Gather and analyze data to drive business decisions
Clear verbal and written communication to leaders of all levels
Innovate to improve processes and continuously remove cost from operations
A day in the life
A regular day for a Business Analyst II, Long Term Planning involves developing and improving Long Term Planning Alteryx models to fit in changes in business process and priorities. The Business Analyst II will bring best practices in optimizing labor resources to maximize efficiency and improve employee relationships. The BAII will participate in meeting with stakeholders from Operations, Finance, and other program teams to discuss and understand program needs and solutions. They will gather data from business intelligence sources, analyze findings, and propose solutions to the organization. Communicating these findings may come in the form of writing white papers, presenting to a group of stakeholders, writing emails, or discussing it internally with the team.
About the team
The TOM Labor Planning team plans, models, communicates, and tracks the short and long term labor needs of the TOM network. Members of this team build and support tools to for our Operations partners to clearly and efficiently allocate labor according to the forecasted demand, communicate those plans to our stakeholders, and train them in how to effectively use and understand the data. The team then follow up with operators to ensure they are recruiting and scheduling efficiently based on the plan.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
5+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience
3+ years of business or financial analysis experience
Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
Experience with SQL
Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $59,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $143,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
